What is ViewFit?

ViewFit is a Chrome extension that helps you identify and shop for clothing items you see in YouTube videos. It uses AI to analyze video frames and provide shopping links.

Data We Collect

ViewFit collects and stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Gemini API Key: Your personal API key for Google's Gemini AI service, stored locally to enable fashion detection.
• Wishlist Items: Fashion items you choose to save, including item descriptions and shopping links.
• Preferences: Your extension settings (e.g., button visibility).

Data We Send to Third Parties

When you click the ViewFit button to analyze a video frame:

• Google Gemini API: The current video frame image is sent to Google's Gemini AI service for clothing detection. This is necessary for the extension to function. Google's privacy policy applies to this data: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Your name, email, or any personal identifiers
• Your browsing history or YouTube watch history
• Your location
• Any analytics or tracking data
• We do not have servers that store your data

Data Storage

All data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. Data never leaves your device except when you explicitly click to analyze a video frame (which sends the image to Google Gemini).

Data Deletion

You can delete all ViewFit data at any time by:

• Removing the extension from Chrome
• Clearing your browser's extension data

Children's Privacy

ViewFit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
